I have an IHAS124 Rev B drive with the appropriate firmware. It is currently giving me one good burn out of five when it comes to XGD3 games. It burns games that are not XGD3 flawlessly. My XGD3 ALWAYS fail at the layer break between L0 and L1. I am using 001 Verbatims from singapore. I have tried connecting the drive through my x360pro v2 usb on my laptop as well as connecting it inside of my tower PC. Both setups give me one good burn out of five. I have tried so many variations of settings, these are the ones that have given me the few successful burns Ive had

Perform OPC before write: On
Enable Burn-Proof: Off
Force HyperTuning: Disabled
Online HyperTuning: Disabled
OverSpeed: Disabled
SmartBurn: Enabled
With a clear OPC History

Ive tried these settings with my IHAS on two different laptops and a tower pc and I just get coaster after coaster a the layerbreak. The burner is not that old so I cant imagine it going bad so quickly. Im out of ideas and I am drowning in coasters. Someone please throw me a life vest. I get this same error every time

I appreciate your help. I set the buffer to 512mb which is the max my laptop can do. I just burned a fresh coaster for you. Heres the log

my initial thought was a buffer problem however i use 512mb also and most of my isos burn fine, all i can suggest is to google other peoples settings and play around until you get it right, XGD3 games can be tedious at the worst of times, also for my settings i have OPC and burn proof off

Yes, OPC before write = "enabled" and burn proof = disabled

And connect your burner to your tower pc via onboard sata.

I think THAT be your problem. Like JeEnYuS said, connect via. on-board SATA. Unless you have a laptop, in that case, that sucks.

I have tried it in my tower as well with the same issue. I decided for Shi*s and giggles to try and burn a game through my laptops built in drive. I had a successful burn on the first try. Countless fails with my IHAS drive and a success on my first try with my low end laptop built in drive. Im not sure how I feel about this.

Im hoping maybe my IHAS just doesnt like the 001 Verbatims. I ordered a new pack and if they are 003 Im going to try to use the IHAS. My laptop hasnt failed yet, but some of the burns dont run well
