I've got an old iPad 2 laying around but unfortunately its iCloud locked. I've spent hours googling to find out how to get past it but still no luck. I'd prefer it to be free but not too fussed about paying. Anyone got any ideas or know how to help?

Thanks,

Hello Red. Does this site work? 100% remove iCloud / activation lock. So the device is fully working again? As it's part as my job I could get a lot of devices with iCloud lock so would come in handy.

I suggest you try and join irc.freenode.net and join either ##jailbreak or ##iOS and see what they say.
Most (if not all) sites that claim to unlock your iCloud device are scammers. most have in their terms that the device can't be done if it's lost or stolen.

Yes, there's places out there that do remove your iCloud account but you have to pay a lot of ££ so it's not worth it. for example; the iPad 2 (like in the OP) it's not worth much and paying to get iCloud removed is just not worth it. And if it's flagged as stolen, the IMEI might be blocked so again, not worth it. (the IMEI with a cellular connection - you don't gotta worry about just Wi-Fi)

R RexxiTu8 if you work with Apple products - you should know there's no better security than Apple devices. I'm not a fan of Apple because of it's pricing but you can't beat their security; fact.

TL:biggrin:R unless you've used a said site, I wouldn't trust it. even if a MOD on here tells you to use it, I'd be very careful.

Anyone else remember when doulci said they could hack iCloud? they didn't last long, HA.

Will take a look. I work fixing phones in general not just Apple devices.

I agree with price I paid nearly £800 for my iPhone 7 128GB when it was released. But Sercuraty on the devices are amazing.
