my dumb *** friend got banned for having an early copy...he got
the bann-hammer earlier today...also from what i understand all his friend's
who had an earlier copy got banned too...they all live in the united kindom...
could it be a coincidence that they were all banned or could it be something that's
server based?
also is it really worth downloading...as i don't want to be screwed by
the bann-hammer

People keep talking about the NAND, it needs to get straightened out. If you are not connected to XBL, your Xbox does NOT know the real time. If you play MW2 early and do not connect to XBL until after it is released, you will be fine from the NAND standpoint. Since your Xbox does not know the actual time until it is connected to XBL, Microsoft will not know the actual time you played the game, as long as you wait until after it's released to connect to XBL.

OBVIOUSLY He isn't going to get all 3500+ people to not play...but he can get his friends to not play.
Either way I wouldn't risk not being able to play the best game in the world to feel special for 9 days.

Those quotes actually gave me hope.
After looking at his twitter it looks like the worse thats going to happen is a level reset. He didnt say anything about bans. Usually if they plan on banning they say so like they did with forza 3.
I mean of course he was talking about the scarlet letter but that sounds like it will just be a flag (assuming that whole flag theory is correct).

I have only read about 1 person getting banned on another site.
I play online with a few members from here, and still no ban for us.
