Discussion I modded my gamertag but can't use my mic? Help?

this has happend to me before and im not sure how i fixed i think all i did was log off and back on

make sure your mic is plugged into the first controller when you turn on your xbox.
keep it in at all times and dont take it out. also, dont join a private chat because it will make it not work again.

Lol I know how to fix it. Are you modding your Gamertag with only the HDD? If so, then all you have to do is join a party. Both your modded GT and your main GT should be in the party. No take your second controller and leave the party. This should make it so it only shows your modded GT, now you can talk in a party. Helped?
