Hello Se7ensins. Today I am going to help you setup for streaming to twitch using a program called OBS (Open Broadcast Software). Look under the "Optional" tag for setting up notifications.

Step 1:
Download OBS by going HERE
and install it.

Step 2:
Open up OBS. Should look like this minus the sources and scenes.

Step 3:
Go to settings in the top left, and go to "Broadcast Settings"
it will look something like this.

Step 4:
Log into your twitch channel on your browser and navigate to "dashboard"
Once there click "Stream Key" then show key.
Once you have done that copy that key into "Play Path/Stream Key"
Under Streaming Service Select "Twitch/Justin.tv"
Now for Server select an area that is closest to you.
Click apply.

Step 5:
Navigate to "Video" and change your resolution to 1280 x 720
You can also change your FPS to anything of your liking.
Note: No need to go over 60.
Click apply.

Step 6:
Your audio should be fine as it is set to default devices normally.
You now want to navigate to "Encoding"
For this part you will need to go to http://speedtest.net/ to determine your "upload"
Now this is how my upload looks

So basically what you want to do is cut your upload in half so if you get a 4mb upload you can use a 2mb bitrate "2000 kb/s"
It's best to cut your upload in half then subtract like "100-500 kb"
So if you have 5mb upload you can use either 2500 kb/s bitrate or 2000 kb/s.
It's up to you.
Click apply & OK.

Step 7:
Right Click under "sources" and select add, then "game capture"
It will ask you to enter a name just select "Ok"
Now select your game like so
Click Ok.
You can click "Preview Stream" to make sure everything looks good.
You can also click "Edit Scene" to make sure your game fills in the whole screen.
To stretch a window to fit the screen you can hold shift key while re-sizing the game in OBS
Once you have everything setup you can click "Stop Preview"

Step 8:
Done! When you are ready to stream your game click "Start Streaming"
If you want to add a webcam to your game right click in sources and add "Video Capture Device"

If you would like setup notifications for your stream while you are at it then head to:
Adding Notifications to your Stream!

If you need any help post below

Kind of happens a few times in this video:
Oh that. That looks like your PC not being able to encode fast enough. I believe so anyways, what is your obs set to under advanced? This is how mine looks

I think it has all those settings listed.

I get way too intense FR drops from that, around 40-50 fps drops. With OBS, I get like 10 fps drops.
Well I usually use OBS to record like desktop. For gaming though I would just use a third-party recorder to make it better quality. They have dxtory too, not sure would be the problem with the pixelation problem.

What would you recommend that doesn't have that big of fps drop?

I do want to note that OBS sucks for Mac, so I'd suggest using GameShow if you are okay with paying a little. I haven't found any other options on my Mac because I haven't streamed from that OS in a while.

I have not had a single issue with OBS on either my MBP2013 or my 2015 iMac.

It didn't do anything but give me issues with screen sizes on my Macbook Pro (El Capitan)
