1. Go to the Cortana Search Bar, search for "netplwiz" and click "Run Command".

2. Uncheck the checkbox "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer."

3. Click "Apply". (You'll have to specify your User Name - It is important to use the right user name or it won't work. You'll also need to confirm your current password to prove that you are the legitimate owner of the account).

4. After clicking "OK" the changes take place and you won't have to re-enter your password anymore on start up or restarts!

Does this work if you sign in with a Microsoft account, and not a local account?

I believe so but not 100% man. Just do the "Netplwiz" and see what it says at that screen. Doesn't hurt to try.

EDIT: Are you trying to make your Microsoft account a local account again? Even if not you wont lose any of your files or anything I do however know how to do that.

Nah, not trying to do that. Just wanted to see if you know. I have some tools for work where we're able to remove the login password of local accounts on Windows machines (it's something similar to what you showed in this thread), but it doesn't work on PCs that log into Windows using a Microsoft account, unfortunately.

(We use this for administrative purposes, not nefarious ones ).

Obviously Some methods support for local accounts, but Microsoft account is not supported , i remember the last time I forgot Win 10 password , i've tried many ways to delete the forgotten passwords, with the RecoveryWindowspassword , Which can helps to completely destroy the old password from your computer by removing it from the login screen. what's more ,it works on Microsoft account and the local accounts,

Yea, many boot drives are able to remove the password by deleting it from the SAM archive stored on the machine (for local accounts). The one I use shows support for the Microsoft accounts, but removing it doesn't do anything .

I have tried boot drive like Offline NT Password & Registry Editor and it can't remove Microsoft account password, but another software PCUnlocker worked, it helped convert my Microsoft account to local user, so I can then login.

I've heard about this software ,i think it's easier to use a bootable disk to reset the password , and these tools will teach you how to create one .

The way can remove Windows 10 password:
https://www.windows10passwordreset.com/
The following free software also works:
https://kon-boot.com/docs/
The another trick to remove password from Windows 10:
First, restart the PC,after the BIOS initialization, hold down F8.Windows Boot Menu will appear and select Safe Mode with Networking.
Then use the built-in Windows Administrator please note, the password can be blank, next go to the Control Panel, and select User Accounts and Family Safety, click User Accounts and Select your own account,in the end, remove the password.

Why so many people cannot resolve this issue?
Just a Windows 10 installation disk can reset your forgotten password in Windows 10.
Search for the info on google or other, you can find detailed guide for this.
If you don't have a Windows 10 install disk, you can easily create one yourself with Windows 10 Media Creation.
