This Has Been Patched, No More Mods on Xbox Live

How to mod it for starters:

    (Posted by TH3fallenANG3L offsite)

Now if you 'Have not played it enough' then use the L4D mod tool found here:
    Code:
    http://files.filefront.com/Left4DeadModToolrar/;12625250;/fileinfo.html
    (Posted by:Lewie4, Here: http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/other-xbox-360-games/118768-left-4-dead-mod-tool.html)

    L4D Mod tool Download Mirrors:
    Code:
    http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?mmnonmz00an
Left 4 Dead Mod Tool ScreenShot:

Then Edit your settings, run the game, make sure they work, then get back to the computer, open it in HxD search 'R_SHOULDER' and you will find all your Button Commands.
    Download HxD:
    Code:
    http://www.download.com/HxD-Hex-Editor/3000-2352_4-10891068.html
HxD with Modded Usersettings in it ScreenShot:

And once you've changed the settings in HxD, resave it, go edit what you just saved to remove the .bak, then rehash and resign it.

    Working rehasher+Resigner: CONcept 0.3
    [App] .:: CONcept ::.

Resign it put it on your HDD, done.

A large command list is attached to this post.

    Edit:
Also, Modio has a large range of uses from modding apps to its use as a Resigner.

    Re: L4D Modding, Past Update

I have redone this thread since more info on the topics has been found.

But They patched it so no modding:thumbdown:

Do it offline when you erase updates (Highlight your HDD offline, hit X,X,LB,RB,X,X)

Well if we all got together and tried to find a solution to put them back online he wouldn't have to remove it.

    Re: L4D Modding, Past Update

Don't we all. So gathering from what Canadian said, if we get the user settings file from someone else online, diff language and ran IT, then when signing in, put the firewall on high until after it loads your settings, start a private party, invite friends (IPs in the trusted Zone), then run the game, let off the firewall? Anyone think this would work?

    Re: L4D Modding, Past Update

Sounds like it might, because when you start up the game with the firewall on high It would block any attempts of the changing of the file which would allow you to start up the game and play the mods in-game. Though that is my guess I'm not positive....

    Re: L4D Modding, Past Update

The firewall thing might work, although even playing the mods offline doesn't work unless you clear the cache, which means they whitelisted the commands. We should still try the firewall thing to see if it will work, and if you do, let me know what the results were.

    Re: L4D Modding, Past Update

I've been sick so I haven't really been online, I've been asleep all day for the last 2 days, waking up for like an hour or so then sleeping again. Today I feel better but am not yet up to sitting in front of my 360. I'll test this with a friend at somepoint, I need someone with the Zone Alarm firewall, *** they need it turned on as well, and even if it works, it will be for close friend w/ firewalls only games, but that good enough for me.
