Instructions for JTAG/RGH Users:

1. The contents of each dvd are this:

DVD1 = Mandatory content Installation. You need this dvd to play the game
DVD2 = Single player + GTA Online

Which means the first dvd is just a normal DLC/additional installation and not an actual game.

2. Setup each DVD like this.

DVD1:

This DVD has to be installed on your console's internal HDD or a USB drive which was formatted using your console. The size of the USB drive should be enough for the entire disc. Extract DVD 1 using Xbox Backup Creator (or any other application you prefer) and copy the 'content' folder from the extracted files to your internal HDD or the external xbox formatted USB drive.

When you transfer your files, they should look like this

HDD:\content\0000000000000000\545408A7\00000002\545408A700000000
HDD:\content\0000000000000000\545408A7\00000002\545408A700000001
HDD:\content\0000000000000000\545408A7\00000002\545408A700000002
HDD:\content\0000000000000000\545408A7\00000002\545408A700000003

i.e. 1 folder called 00000002 and 4 files inside it.
DVD2:

Files from DVD 2 have to be treated like a normal game which means you can either make an ISOrip (using XBC or other apps) and use that on your JTAG/RGH or make the ISO into a GOD container.

NOTE: Do not make a GOD container of the first DVD, your game will not work if you do that.

I did exactly the same as you said above. But when i play the game using Disk 2 on my xbox dashboard, the game shows unauthorized disk error after playing 2 or 3 mins (the 1st scene when they are robbing the bank).

Have I understood correctly, that both discs go to HDD:\content\0000000000000000\, the only difference being that DVD1 is extracted and DVD2 is in .god format?

I'm running the game "fine" on my Jtag, by extracting both disks into my games folder as normal and then using ftp to transfer the "content" folder to the "00000000000" folder as if it were DLC.
I'm about 70% through and loving it.

Here's my problem though.

As I HAve no DVD drive I'm forced to have all of the files on my internal HDD. Though it runs, I'm definitely having pop-up and framerate issues.

Is it possible for me to get a 16GB USB drive and put either the disk 2 files, or the "content" files onto it to help alleviate the streaming/pop-up issues?

Seems that it is possible.
I just moved all of disk 2 (play disk) and launched it from the file manager and it plays fine.

Still having some pop-in when driving very fast, but it seems to be reduced. It's a pretty old, slow drive though, so I'll maybe pick up a faster one and see if that helps more

Hey so I have the content for disc 1 extracted and put in the content folder where it's supposed to be. Disc 2 I have extracted from ISO and have t in a folder on the root of my hard drive, where I just launch it from default.xex. My problem is every time after playing for 10 or 15 minutes the game crashes and I must restart, losing my save in the process. Any help? Thanks

I just installed gta v on my external memory unit cause my xbox 360 is 4gb same as in the tutorial video by gravity but GTA V can be seen in setting-storage-memory unit-games and app...... but not in my games at dashboard
.....please help

I NEED HELP! I didnt download the game myself i went to this shop who sells games by putting them on hdds and i bought gta v but when it shows the blonde woman holding a phone or the chick being arrested by the police it will move for a while then freeze it wont work. I have also thought of returning the game but im currently busy so i need an alternate way

When ever i launch disc 2 it freezes after the intro loads, Im on dash 16203 & i have all the disc 1 dlc installed, Anyone else having this problem?

If you already have the disks I know how to do it!

play the disk one "install" disk on the standard dash, and it will install the content. Then use DVD extractor on FSD for disk 2, and it will work. The only point in using DVD extractor is if you have an external storage device and want to use your internal hard drive the least amount.

If you don't have an external storage device, feel free to install the play disk "disk two" like normal on the normal dash. It should still pop up as a game in FSD.
