I would suggest to stick the tools i have suggested. dont try something new if you are new to flashing. the tools I have mentioned are needed irrespective of laptop or desktop. you can still avoid buying molex but in that case you will need CPU to power CK3 lite/pro.

but could i replace the molex with http://shop.01media....ProductID=38304 ?
and then use a desktop pc to power it? or do i even need it if i could use a desktop pc

if you are using desktop PC, you dont need molex or any external power device, you have to open CPU and find molex power socket - four pin. you can connect your CK3 lite/pro to power the drive.

Thanks

1.would this adapter work with the sata card and xbox?(If Xbox is needed)/
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Express-ExpressCard-PCMCIA-Cardbus-Card-Adapter-USB-/320697353266?pt=AU_Laptop_Accessories&hash=item4aab0d4432

2. are there any sata cards for express slot to save me money?

3. just to double check, is an halo reach edition xbox 360 slim a liteon/

4. is there anything else needed for me to burn games and play them on my xbox?

This is a huge help as i want to save money buying games and i am willing to spend a budget of £30-£50 for all items

Dude you should just buy the X360 USB Pro and the CK3 Lite.

If you're flashing Liteons, you'll also need a CK3 Probe (real cheap)

Then get a molex power supply like the MolexT.

Those four things shouldn't cost you much and will take care of every drive.

What if my laptop doesn't have any PCMCIA slots? It's only a year old so I don't see why it doesn't but is there anyway to flash it without one?

I have an Xbox 360 s with a manufacturing date of Sept 2011, I have been told there isn't a hack yet to modify it so I can use backups of games. Is this true? I'm a new user and I apologize if I've missed something in the forum which has already answered this question. Thanks
