Step 1: Have a clean Launch.ini like this one: (Optional Download if you don't have a clean one) (always have a backup) Download: Here | Antivirus: Here
Step 2: Get a flashdrive and put the launch.ini on the USB.
Step 3: Plug in the flash drive.
Step 4: It should load up w/o freezing.
Step 5: Go to XeX menu, and delete the Launch.ini on your HDD1.
Step 6: Go to dashlaunch and re-add your plugins/settings, etc.
Step 7: Save it.
Step 8: Reboot.
Step 9: Done. You can now be able to start up your RGH w/o having it freezing. (if the launch.ini was corrupt)

This is an easy way of doing it w/o having to have a sata cable. Enjoy!

Good method, been known for many years now. But also another way of doing it is by pressing the power button then pressing eject. It bypasses all dashlaunch plugins, But then again if all doesn't work use this method. Great tutorial!

Thanks! Although I tried doing that power button then eject, it never worked when I had this issue. It took me 70 tries and still nothing. This is a fix for the people who can't do it like me.

I found another way too
Step 1: remove your HDD
Step 2: boot up your console
Step 3: go to settings then console settings then startup and shutdown then startup then select disc
Step 4: put a disc in the tray
Step 5: turn off your console
Step 6: put your HDD back
Step 7: boot up your console normally it'll launch directly the disc
Step: 8 go back to the Xbox home and remove your bad plugin or your bad launch.ini

couldn't you just press eject, put disc in, then power cycle it to restart?

I'm aware this is years old.. that just sounded so convoluted to put a disc in the tray, that i had to say something. lol. =P
