Hey Guys, I know how frustrating it is when you get this error and how you tried so many ways to fix this error, but nothing work. Try these methods and hopefully they will help.

So this method is what you find all over the internet and for some reason, it doesn't work. This method is for people that have not installed the drivers, if you have installed the drivers and it still doesn't work try method 2.

Method 1:
Step 1:
Download your android device drivers. Download links below.
Step 2: Installing your drivers to your computer. If you have a HTC device download HTC Sync, linked below.
Step 3: Go to Control Panel and then Device Manager. From there look for android device. Click the drop down button and right click the driver, select update driver software. Click browse my computer for driver software.
Step 4: Click Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
Step 5: Pick the driver that you had installed and your phone should be recognized. So then you run the RUU.

Method 2:
Alright so you tried Method 1 and it still doesn't work, try method 2 with the video below, it will show you how to fix it and then it should work. If it doesn't work feel free to post for questions.
