The dreaded black scree, multiple languages and a devilish message at the bottom, E68.
E68 is describe here ( http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/topic/2480-xbox-360-error-codes-explained-and-how-to-fix-them/ ) as, "This error occurs when your harddrive is defective, it might still work sometimes.... It can also happen because of a bad eeprom or a wrong security sector. It can also be a problem with the internal connection of the harddrive to the mainboard...According to XBH: Hard drive not DMA configured."Seems confusing, right?
Wrong. This is a very easy error to fix.
Step One: Turn on the Xbox. While the green lights are still spinning around the RoL, quickly unplug your power cord.
Step Two: Plug the power cord back in, but do not start the Xbox.
Step Three: Turn the Xbox on again, and while the green lights are spinning around the RoL, pull your hard drive out.
Step Four: The console will reset,** and you can now plug the hard drive back in.
Step Five: Your Xbox should now be working good as new.
**If the Xbox does not start up regularly repeat steps one-three, only one more time. If it still does not work, you will need to explore other options.
I found this through personal experience, and use of another tutorial found here: http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/topic/169673-e68-how-to-fix-console-error-e68/
