Hey guys, I know that there are already tutorials on this, but I recorded this last week anyway. I had a bunch of extra supplies lying around so I decided to create another USB dongle for original Xboxs.

Alternatively, you can buy one!

Tools needed:
Female USB port or a USB extender of some sort
Spare Xbox Dongle
Scissors/Wire cutters
Electrical tape
Soldering Iron (Optional)
Lighter(Optional)

How to wire:
All the colored wires go get connected to the corresponding color.
Red goes with Red
Black goes with Black
White goes with White
Green goes with Green
SCRAP THE YELLOW

Also consider getting a cheap memory card for 50 cents that plugs into the controller.
Rip out the guts and solder the female USB port to the USB wires on the memory card.
Reassemble - Remember, hot glue is your friend.

To use it:
First, plug flash drive into XBOX and open memory manager and select the memory card to format your flash drive as an XBOX memory card. Now software on the PC will recognize the device. You will lose all the data on your flash drive when it formats.

Second, plug flash drive into pc. Transfer game saves to your flash drive using software for action replay MAX 16MB. Software called "Action Replay Code Manager for XBOX". (might be hard to find)

Third, plug flash drive with game saves into memory card adapter and fire up XBOX memory manager to transfer your installers/game saves from your flash drive to your XBOX hard disk.

For your convenience:

Also keep in mind some USB cords do not have wires these colors.
Mine had white, and blue, red, and black.
