how do i disbale automatic detection in my bios?

i am trying to fix error 5 in my xbox, so i made the xbox hdm and recovery cd and made one of my comps boot from cd. everything so far is fine. when i get to the 1st menu i type 3 so i can load with hd locking and unlocking utilities. when i get the the next menu, i type in " lockhd -a " and tyhe it talls me this

Cannot change the security status of a frozen drive!
Try to disable 'automatic detection' on the primary ide channel in your PC BIOS and reboot
what do i do now?

Goddammit I have already told you how to fix that. Boot up XBoxHDM with another HDD that doesnt lock and then hotswap the two.

i no and i didnt work and the reason i diddnt ask you is cuz i diddnt want to annoy you anymore cuz i know i have been getting on your nerves.


EDIT:
i got it now i used another old 8gig drive and it worked. but not with a 40 gig.
