help with the pelican

    i added a pelican to my map (using the tut on the home page), and i need help with a few things, #1, how do you get on the turret at the back? #2, how do i add the rocket pods to the pelican, and get them to shoot, #3 how can i get it so it can pick up an drop off warthogs and tanks (like the ones in campaign) first to corectly answer each question gets a cookie :smile:

    #1. Open the map in Insolence. (Insolence and not Entity because Entity doesn't work with String-IDs.) Go to the "vehi" tag class and double-click this tag: objects\vehicles\pelican\pelican_rear_gun\pelican_rear_gun. Change to dev mode, go to the "Seats" Reflexive, and change the "pelican_g_rear" to warthog_d.

    #2. Attempt the tutorial posted.

    thanks for the help, but i dont understand the tut at all ( the linked one) especialy the "spawn it using the vech tag" becouse iv only ever added a pelican using entity

    Ok, open up the map in Entity, go to the Pelican's vehi tag, open it up in the Meta Editor, and change the "Default Model Variant" to attack. The Pelican will now have the Rocket Pods mounted on the wings. Now just find a way to spawn it. Just make a weapon fire it.

    i already have the pelican in the map (using the tut on the homepage) ill try this asap (im not curently in possesion of my xbox) :frown: thanks in advance, now i just need to put a warthog under the back that i can drop off and ill have the ulitmate assault vehicle

    That is a lot more complicated. It's possible, but I have no clue on how to do it.

    lol, thanks anyway, please link/post if any one finds out

    EDIT: if any one has the time you could try looking in the map matropalis couse i know near the midle a pelican flys in with a tank and drops it off

    where is the "default model variant"? , i looked through the meta editor, and dont see anyhting called that

    PLEASE READ: i have the pelican spawned! (i dont want to sound rude, but iv said it many times) what i dont get is where the "defualt modle" tag is, if you can please take a screen shot of it, becouse i cant find it

    Changing it to "attack" will make the Pelican have Rocket Pods. And it also has different effects on other tags.

    ok, for the "attack" thing, its in the vehi tag right? not the vehc tag? couse if its the vehc tag i dont know how to add the pelican that way couse i cant find it using entity under the vehi tag meta editor, does any one think they could upload a tut?
