Okay, back in the day it was easy to record my regular xbox because there was just the red, white, and yellow cables. Now I have my 360 which has component plugged in to the television. What I am wondering is there any way for me to play 360 on my tv in component but still be recording on my computer in composite? Don't tell me any software for my computer I just want to know what to plug up to do this.

This is what I did and it worked....the sound will come from the computer by the way.

1)set the video output cable on the 360 to TV.
2)plug in the component cables into the TV.
3)plug in the standard TV cables into the capture card
    4)done

That plays the tv in COMPOSITE not component. So it's crappy quality when playing on tv.

Well thats the only way it will work, unless you want to buy one of those video box things.
