I have modded GTA IV a while ago and can no longer use them due to my xbox laser being junk.

So I gave my friend my hardrive which had the mods installed onto them, yet he can not use them?

Any ideas , suggestions , help??

Only the Xbox and HDD you installed them on will work. For example- you give you friend your Hdd and he can't play cuz he did not hot swap on his xbox. Mods only work on the xbox you hot swapped on.

Yes only the xbox that you installed it on will only work for that xbox only.Like what uMad_little_one said.
