hey guys, how do i backup my original xbox 360 games, i am having trouble finding
a program, that is free.

There is a program called WxRipper.
But you have to have some stuff to do it correctly, so look for a TuT.

guys any help please, i was reading a tut, it said i need SATA Kreon Drives to backup games, is this true?


can i install the game to the hdd and then take it out and try and burn it?

Kreon drives are currently the most effient way to rip 360 games, however you can rip games with a normal drive using a method called hotswaping. When you rip, it outputs to a iso file, so yes, you can then take the game out. And Kreon drives are also avaliable in IDE.

If your drive has a manual eject hole, you can use that instead of opening the drive.
Make sure to slam the tray shut to relock it.
