I was trying to add another hdd to my comp as a slave so i plugged the other hdd in and couldn't boot so i unplugged it and tried again but nothing. Turns out i f'ed up my good hdd with all the files i needed on it and have no way of getting the important stuff back, i've try Linux live cds and other things like that but nothing works. I've tried many programs to read the hdd with my sata to usb adapter and nothing works, so does anyone know how i can recover my files from that hdd?

Worse comes to worse, try bringing it in to a repair shop.

After using a few apps i found it wasn't formatted so i did a quick format and am recovering the data right now, i don't know if any of it will be usable because the few good apps i found copy/scan the whole hdd to pull data and it takes awhile but i will find out soon.
