Discussion HD PVR help?

Hi, i literally just got my PVR for Christmas and when i set it up it worked great!... until i plugged in the USB to my desktop. When i plug in the USB to my desktop computer, it causes lines on my TV. The lines are black but when i start recording they turn purple. They're just these 2 sets of lines that scroll up and down my screen and are EXTREMELY annoying.

ive only had my pvr for a month now, but id first unplug all of the cables and put them back in and see what happens. its just supposed to reroute the av, so there could be a prob with the pvr or the output.

Same thing happens to me, but this is when it happens to me.

When my laptop is off, no lines on TV.

Open = lines on TV.

They're only there basically when im recording because thats the only time my laptop would be on, and in the recorded video it doesnt show so im fine .

So I guess it'd be the same thing as you, but they dont get worse etc.
