My computer will freeze up and turn black for a few seconds randomly. When it comes back textures will be flashing or different colors. I've rma'd my graphics card and bought an SSD, neither fixed the issue. I bought my computer from Cyberpowerpc and everytime I send a part I'm charged, I don't want to keep losing money, anyone know what the problem is?

Specs:
GPU: GeForce GTX 670
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3820 CPU @ 3.60GHz
Memory: 16 GB RAM
320.18 nivida drivers.

It sounds GPU related.
Have you tried re-installing your drivers?

Yeah I've re-installed them countless times, got a brand new hard drive with fresh driver install from nvidia's website.

Have you checked your GPU temps? & CPU?

Your CPU is hot. Thats probably the reason.
What cooler do you have & are you overclocking?

Please quote me next time, i don't know when you reply.

I have water cooling on my cpu, no overclocking.

Check for bubbles because 84c is very hot.
Is that your idle?

No my PC has been on for awhile. Lemme turn it off for like 20 minutes and see.
My CS:GO just crashed at same temps as when it froze.

Turn it of & let it cool for about 45 minutes.
Dont open any programs for 15 mins and let it idle, then get the temperature.

85C shouldn't be causing any problems, it's a little on the hot side but Intel chips can withstand up to 105C before throttling iirc.

Well I got my idle temps, my GPU is at 49C and my CPU is at 86C.
I left my pc off for 45 minutes and turned it back on and didn't open anything until 15 minutes later.
I'm using SpeedFan 4.49 for the temps and it has a fire next to my CPU but a check mark next to my GPU if that helps you at all.

I'm gonna play a game and see if I get freezes now, or when my GPU get to around 65C

P parsa SpeedFan can be unreliable when reporting temps. If your processor was 86C at idle, you would experience temps exceeding 100C at load, so something's not right. Download RealTemp and use that.

That's right now, I only played one round of CS:GO so it shouldn't be that much of a change.

Want me to get to the temps where it starts to freeze, and give you the screenshot of RealTemp?

They seem absolutely fine. Run Prime95 to stress your CPU for half an hour, and run Furmark to stress your graphics card (both programs are free) (don't forget to keep an eye on temps).

80c for an I7-3820 is way to hot, especially on idle, if the I7-3820 idles at 80c then do not run prime 95 as you need to make sure your idle temperatures are in check before you stress test the cpu. My I7-3820 idles at 37c and at stock will not go past 60c during prime95 Reapply the thermal paste on the cpu and re seat the heatsink and you should have much lower temperatures.

Sorry for asking so many questions, just trying to make sure everything is right the first time

Run a Small-FFT test in Prime95 and select the 1080p burn-in benchmark in Furmark. Download and keep HWMonitor open during these tests so you can keep an eye on your temps for your components.
