Solved HANDING.DAT HELP

i have edited handing.dat and gtxd.ide

when i load up the game i get a black screen and it freezes

any ideas how to fix this

Right click your handling.dat and click Properties. Make sure it is the size 41,386 bytes. If it is not, add dashes ( --- ) to the top under comments, like this:

; > COMMENTS <
;-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
; > UNITS <

You add the dashes (or anything) if the file is under sized. If it is over sized, delete somethings at the top.

any line starting with ; is a comment line, add or delete text to it depending if the size is over or under
also you cant edit the handling in dlc2, it has to be done in the common that set cars handling ids for dlc2 to load from ones in the common

and what does the file have to be on read only or dont it matter?

what do u mean about "read only"? ^^
because there are no attribut to "read only" to the Handling file
( when you displays the ownership file)
