I got the Halo Wars demo off of my HDD, and found one default.xex which i know is not modifiable.. But I found out that everything else was a ERA file. Does anyone know if this file is modifiable? And there is also a sounds and video folder. The video had .bik and the sounds had .pck

    Thanks

You cannot edit LIVE files because you would have to resign them, which you can never do.

I can tell you right now that you will never be able to resign LIVE files for retail because it takes simple common sense to realize that Microsoft is not stupid. Not every employee has access to the keys and I'm pretty sure none of them memorized it in their head...

So, no, it's not something to hold your breath for.
