This question has been asked so many times so I'm going to make this as easy for you as possible.

#1. Put the Halo3 disk in your console. [has to be from Halo3] as I don't know if the mythic disk is the same way, never analyzed it. So, I really cannot say otherwise.

#2. Go into XexMenu, FxMenu, Freestyledash, or your own preferable way of 'extracting' the default.xex from the DVD:// storage.

#3. Now, here's the fun part yet easy part.
#3.1 Extract this default.xex to your desktop, or somewhere you'll find it. You'll need either a Hex editor or you can simply use IDA to find the location of the following bytes, and patch it with a 'tool' or another external method to force the xex to do what you want it to. [I would just edit the xex.] Simpler and easier to do.

#3.2 Open the Xex and find the following Hex String using CTRL + F:

What you're really only editing and how it works.

highestSkill=[Value you want it to be.] 1 through 50.

#3.3 Simply save in Hxd, Hex Workshop or another hex editor, and you have your modded xex ready to go. Simply replace yours that you extracted to begin with and the very next game you play, you should have whatever value you set as your next trueskill rank.

jtag isn't the correct name of the 'hack-type'. It's SMC hacked console. [System Management Controller]
