The expanded and enhanced versions of Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online are arriving on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S with new features and more, on November 11th, 2021. As an added bonus — this summer's updates to GTA Online will include special benefits for players to take advantage of in these expanded and enhanced versions when they drop. Plus, in honor of the upcoming 20th anniversary of the genre defining Grand Theft Auto III, we’ll have even more fun surprises to share — including some specifically for GTA Online players.

While the standalone version of GTA Online will be available to players on both platforms, this new standalone version of GTA Online will be available for free exclusively to PlayStation 5 players during the first three months. And PlayStation Plus members on PlayStation 4, make sure to claim your GTA$1,000,000 by visiting the PlayStation Store at the start of each month — every month until the launch of GTA Online on PlayStation 5.

With much more to be revealed, stay tuned to the Rockstar Newswire for details on future updates, weekly bonus-filled events and more in the weeks and months ahead.

Well I guess were not getting GTA VI anytime soon.

I'm alright with this but the first 3 month exclusive upgrade on PlayStation is whack.

I hope the rumors about a remastered trilogy are true, that would be dope.

Unfortunately, I’m over GTA V and RDR2 lacks in the multiplayer department. I just see this as another GTA VI delay to get all the money they can get out of this title, and rightfully so as I feel they’ve earned that right with the unmatched quality of work they put forth despite as anti-consumer as it is.

This is kinda sad at this point. Basically shovelware with all that they shove at you with GTA V. The game came out at this point 2 console generations ago and still being added back in for nothing more than a cash grab.

RDR2.exe has some information regarding RDR3 + GTA VI

I genuinely hope it does not turn into the whole CoD scheme... Where one console receives updates before the other consistently.

I once heard a rumor, about an old R* employee around the time the Xbox One S (Not series) came out... That R* almost can't make a game better than GTAV... Just because of the uniqueness of it, and now because of the length it's been out...It'll most likely be an infinite cycle of updates, similar to like WoW (At least, my girlfriend explained to me that WoW almost only gets updates rather than a new title in the game serious. I could be wrong by comparing to WoW, but it gets my point across).
Every aspect of GTA 6 would be compared to GTAV, and there's still a huge influx of low levels in lobbies. I hop on quite often and do some cash glitches to buy an item or two, and always encounter at least 10/30 players who are sub level 20.

They will always release a new title, online is the question, they said they had 40 years worth of ideas. Though that was pre Leslie Benzies leaving rockstar, so direction might have changed even more so, and by all accounts he was the mastermind on why these games we're always great.
