i said mine had RROD when i sent it in with green lights and i got a new one

 

There it is. Ultimate and easiest way to give yourself RROD

 

^^^ If you can't pop one off then take a flat head screw driver and scratch it up to the point it gets the rings.

 

^^ Sorry but that is straight up ridiculous. These pop off so easy. Even if you couldn't do it yourself there are many things in the 360 to use as leverage to give it more force. No offense but that was just ehhh.

 

I wasn't able to pop one off so I decided to scratch it... Which worked just as well.It was just another suggestion for those who didn't want to pop one of the chips off.

Yeah I think I was doing it wrong cause I'm not that weak but w.e scratching works the same.

 

There should be kinda a small gap to where the flathead should be able to slide into a bit and then lift or twist and it just flies off.

 

Do you put the chip back on like loose or something? Or do you just throw it in the garbage and hope they don't check for it

 

Take it out and throw it away. If you are worried of them checking then pop one of them off on the bottom of the board. There are 4 more down there. I doubt they would even check the bottom. If they even check these at all when they are sent in. lol

 

If you were going to open your 360 up you have to be careful not to damage the warranty sticker thingie. If the seal is broken when you send it in then they will charge you.

You can open it without voiding the warranty by removing the sticker with the heat from a hair dryer and reapplying it when you put it back together.

 

1. Take a sharp blade.
2. Take a hairdryer.
3. Heat the sticker start sliding the blade under it. It will start coming off very easy 4. 4. then you can take it completely off.
5. Put it on wax paper open your 360.
6. Do what i told you to do.
7. Close it back up.
8. Put sticker on.
9. Send to MS and wait.

 

Okay the easiest way, I did it for myself.
You just do the towel trick for like all day and do it for another day then try it later and it should have rrod

 

I just broke a piece of a RAM chip. Instant red ring.
