if you don't have a transfer cable just put the $systemupdate folder onto a flash drive then put it into your xbox and it will say there is an update available =)

So if we do this then will the update from xbox live still come to us. If it does do we still accept it? When is this officially supposed to be released?
(just checked, coming out at the end of the year, there isn't much new yet in this beta version but good work any way)

yes, I just did it. On the memory card go to partition 1 and there is already the system update folder. Insert the file into there, then plug into 360 and it asked me if I wanted to update so I did this, it took a few seconds, then nothing happened. I restarted my xbox then a longer update happened for like 13 minutes. It worked, but not much is different yet it's only a beta version.

Umm, it's megaupload not rapidshare. It should work.
