Solved Game Sharing ban?

My cousin (who I game share with) said that with the new update it gives them the right to ban us for one of us playing without owning the game. If that makes sense...

Can anyone confirm this? I can still play Destiny but he said they can check to see if I own the game and if I don't and I'm playing on another Xbox we can both get banned.

It seems like crazy talk, unless someone can confirm.

However I've never heard of anyone being banned for game sharing. If it has happened it's definitely not common.

I think this has more to do with XBL than it does Destiny, Bungie or Activision. You want me to move this to the X1 section? You might get more responses.

I myself would keep playing. But what you do is up to you. I'm game sharing with a friend and I don't see either one of us getting banned any time soon.

I have been game sharing since day 1 of starting on the xbox 360 for me which was 9 years ago. No bans or anything yet.
