It's not a matter of what it says. If your character was made on the last gen consoles, you won't be able to do it. It's something with the model of the shirts, the next gen one isn't exactly the same as old gen.

Put on a utility vest for no tank top, looks better

So I created a new character and it worked but it's kinda pointless as I won't ever use it lol

Yeah, it's a bit confusing. But for some reason, it's just how they made next gens items and products. Its something in the code when they made the next gen version.

That's totally incorrect

My character came from last gen and it worked perfectly

I tried this on two accounts. One character transferred from 360 to XB1, and one transferred from PS3 to XB1. The PS3 to XB1 character ended up with invisible arms, but with the t-shirt, not a tank top. Looks almost as good. The second character was from 360 to XB1 and glitch worked flawlessly. Completely invisible arms, and wearing the tank top.

Not sure if this is due to system, or what, but have noticed that these clothing glitches can produce differing results. For instance, I followed FTWTF's video to get the female invisible arms, flight suit pants, etc. In his video he selects earrings that make the top half of flight suit vanish but leaves the pants. I didn't think type of earrings mattered (the video did not say that I heard) but every time I tried this I ended up with gym shorts, and not flight suit pants. Only difference I could find was that I was using whatever earrings happened to be in inventory. Selecting the exact earrings that WTF uses made the glitch work perfectly.
