I recently aquired a Jasper board with a exploitable kernal. Haven't checked the CB yet. Before when I would try and jtag, I just stripped down a ethernet cable and used the insides. But now I'm going to actually go and buy some 30 gauge wire. I'm going to be following http://www.boxxdr.com/boxxdrjtag.html
for the jtag part. Is their anything special I would need to do to jtag tool in order for it to work? Do I use aud_clamp and dvd tray or just aud clamp?
Any help is much appreciated.

Depends on which wiring you choose to do. If you solder to DB1F1, FT1U2, or one of the alternates, you only use aud_clamp. I suggest using aud_clamp only, since Tray open is fairly pointless.

Well the DB1F1 port is bad, its laminated over and no solder in it. Looked at FT1U2 and it looks good, was planning on using that one.
