I just made a lag switch and I've been trying to force host and it won't work. My friend does it all the time and he says he can hold his switch for 30 seconds without getting disconnected but I can hold mine for 5 tops. How come he can hold his longer

It depends what you use for this "lag switch" If you're planning on standbying or forcing

host, I would try both of the following tutorials:

    http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/gow2-bridging/117922-bridging-gears-war-2-a.html
    http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/gow2-bridging/118942-complete-bridging-guide-start-finish.html

I used both of these to force host. If done correctly, this works 100% of the time

and should work for at least 30 seconds until you need to put it back down from

high to medium for a little.

Edit : By the way, next time when posting for bridging help, I recommend posting

    it here:

Are you sure your friend "Forces host" instead of bridging it?

Using ZAP and Cain you can bridge host 100% of the time... and still have 30seconds+

    To lag the other team.
