Solved Flashed xbox question

I just got my xbox all flashed, but it isn't updated to the latest firmware. It has the new dashboard but the last time it was updated was about a year ago, will all of my games play fine since I can't connect it to live? Like Skyrim for example?

He will only need to do that to play the new XD3G games.
