Okay so I have a Lite-On. And I hear all this talk about a new "version" coming out.

Can somebody put this into n00b terms for me? What will this mean for people who have the next-to-latest version. (I got mine flashed the day the last version came out, by Abolfazl)

What does this mean and what do I need to do?

You'll need to use the activate.iso disc in order to play all "Wave 4" games. The disc just disables security checks.

If you updated to iX1.61, you wouldn't need to do that.

You can.
1. Play the activate.iso to play wave 4.
or
2. Buy a VIA6421 sata card and update it yourself.
