The areas I'll be venturing into:

- Streaming (twitch)
- Recording gameplay (Xbox, PS4)
- Light music stuff (beats, audio mixing, etc)
- Video editing and rendering
- Graphics designing and editing
- Commentary recording
- programming

Not too big on pc gaming for now.

Looking for something to do these task smoothly. Although I don't want to sacrifice quality for the budget's sake, I will be planning on upgrading parts for better performance so hopefully I can also get suggestions on what to upgrade for the future.

Are you in the US?

Do you need a keyboard? Mouse? Monitor?

Perfect!

Here's what I would get for 800$: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/KNC8tJ

You could save some money and skip the SSD, which would make the OS slower. You could also get an older GPU, used GTX960 or something like that instead of the RX560 too.

If I knock out the monitor (I'm sure my friend has one laying around) would I be able to put the money towards any better parts for any of the areas? Thanks for the help so far!

From build above
Changed mobo from Ass**** to MSI
Changed to faster ram for only 10 more bucks.
Changed to a freesync Curved VA Freesync Monitor very good for gaming & anything even production work once you go curved you won't go back.
Changed PSU to the 620w from Seasonic thats on sale (I had to manually add link because PCPartPicker wasn't finding it in search but manages to find price when added)

VA or IPS are pretty much what you need when you do graphic editing you won't want TN if you do graphic editing the colors will make you commit suicide (Fine for gaming still though)

VA are lower color quality, faster response & have less issues like backlight bleed.I would prob take an IPS over VA (except AHVA over IPS) but this panel was a really good deal with curved panel.

Future upgrades
1) Add an SSD.
2) Get a nice Mouse/Keyboard.
3) Upgrade the GPU.
4) Get a nice CPU cooler

If you want an IPS Panel here 75hz Freesync for $150
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/2bL7YJ/lenovo-li2364d-230-71hz-monitor-65c8kcc1us

There is a huge difference between 60 and 75hz and Freesync is really a must have imo in this time and age now that there are so many cheap Freesync monitors.

Really, for the 1600, you don't need an aftermarker cooler, the CPU isn't really limited by its thermal most of the time, you can easily get a stable 3.9GHz overclock on the 1600 with its wrath cooler.

As for the SSD, I'd recommend the Samsung 850 EVO, Kingston A400, Crucial MX400 (MX300 too), Sandisk Ultra II and ADATA SP600

As for possible upgrade, definitively get a better GPU if you ever plan on gaming, the RX560 is good but it's not good enough for serious gaming. Otherwise, an SSD and another 8GB stick of RAM might be nice.
