First intro

I tried my luck on Cinema 4D, and am now learning the basics of motion graphics. I know mine is poorly made, so please don't bag me on it, tell me where I can improve.

The world of motion graphics is hard my friend, but here are some things to improve on.
-Try adding some flare or grunge to your back-drop
-Less jerky camera movements, and include your whole name instead of the "bong"
-Practice, practice, practice.

Thats my version two, things I fixed and added include:
Fixed camera movements
Reflective floor
Studio lighting effects (One on the far left and one on the far right, instead of centered)
Bong with smoke effect

Things I need to fix:
Move the far left light closer so you can see the "MrG" of the text more easily
Change it from 100 frames to 110 or 115

Thats what most people are like when they first start, like i was but i can now say i am way better because i kept on learning new effects and practised!

Like kronosslayer said, practice practice practice. For now at least you were able to figure out how to animate the movement of the camera and add reflections. Some people can't even get that far. As you progress you'll get better and eventually your own style will emerge. Just keep practicing! ^^b

I think you should experiment with soft-box lighting. It's a really cool way to get some nice effects.

Thanks man, I think I've mastered how long I should hold frames for now, I'll get onto effects.

I think it would look better if the text was on the ground, rather than floating in the air, because the text and the bong aren't even and it looks a little messy.

A little too dark as well, the 'MrGol' is kinda hard to see and doesn't look nice in comparison to the really bright 'ong'.

Smoother camera movements? You can do this by moving it little by little every few frames, rather than just having a few camera movements over a lot of frames.

But it looks nice for a beginner, and I'm really liking the bong

If you can, try to imagine what you want you design to look like before hand, then picture it as if you were the audience viewing it. This is what I do before I create anything. Anyways...

Try a more readable, viewable scene layout, and search around for a sweet looking font you would like, but keep the bong :]
