Tbh, i thought i'd delve into some films, and see how they work, and perhaps mess with them.
I know we already have info on the mapped out...
...But i was thinking more about the co ordinates, and perhaps editing the basis of the film via the understanding of them.
So i made 2 Films, exactly the same.
Saved, extracted, checked, and compared. The amount of code that is different is ridiculous.
I did both games on Valhalla, on a canvas with a neutral starting point so i'd always start in same place.
There was nothing else on the map.

So i delved deeper into the mysteries of the films, i tried moving one step to the right and then leaving it.
Still even more code different. Understandable.
I then tried 2 different map variants, both the same with one difference that one has a BR. Now this is interesting as there were more similarities between these than the rest.
I think i was able to distingush, perhaps events in the map such as the Bases 'firing' and sound effects but i'm not 100% sure , and will look into it further in a moment...

I then tried editing certain offsets to effect the film, perhaps change stuff.
All to no avail. However i've got a few more ideas i want to try before i give up on my lousy attempt at research ... lol

If you are wanting to do some research, or are just wondering the conditions i used here they are :

Code:
Time Limit 1:00
Valhalla:
Editied Canvas on SLAYER so only one neutral starting point.

Films change a lot. When I was researching films, I had to "research" every single film by itself because they changed so much. It gets even worse when you look at films with multiple players, but it is possible to edit them.

If you had access to a dev kit, you could probably build the films in game and edit them.

Just a thought though.

That doesn't make sense.

Development Kits are NOT magical modding devices that you can do anything on. They are a developers tool for creating games.

Back to the film editing, I have done a bit of research myself and found out how to move the player back and forth, make him jump, and change the position where my character is looking.

Have you posted your research?
Surely, that would only apply to a film that's only 'so long' (e.g 1 minute), only so many players, level, spawn place etc?

I never posted my research because I never wrote it down. I just keep all of my methods inside of my head. And it was on a video with one person.

Films are just coordinates of the player from the game played.
I don't see how you got him to jump.

I thought with the correct research on a specified setting you would be able to edit the coordinates to a certain level...
Obviously there would be restraints?
