I really like arch linux, right now i'm dual booting both arch and ubuntu. if i had to pick I would probably choose ubuntu because I feel like I would brick my pc if i was on arch 24/7

I went from Ubuntu to Mint to Arch. So far Arch is my favourite distro just because the amount of control you have over it. I have i3 installed right now and I would definitely say it's my best desktop experience yet.

I hopped between a few distros once I started using Linux. I finally settled with Linux mint dual booting with windows 7 and Kali 2.0 running live off a usb.

    EDIT:
    i3 is awesome.

Arch is my favourite distro with DWM as my main window manager. ElementaryOS is also a great complete desktop environment.

I'm using Windows 10 for the majority of the time now unfortunately, which is mainly because of work and requiring Adobe Suite on a daily basis.

Arch is good but when you're having problems, their support is rubbish.
I, however, like Arch but my main OS is debian based.

I kinda cheated, I wanted to keep my Windows 10 install so I can still game/use my xbox stuff.
I downloaded and created a bootable USB from architect linux, installed ArchLinux with i3/LXQT and now very happy.

I did have manjaro installed but, meh, didn't get on too well.
Manjaro = Arch base, yes. but it's better if you install Arch directly so you can tweak to your liking.

So, my fav ATM IS (I change a lot) ArchLinux.

I cheated and didn't install Arch the normal way, I installed it through Architect linux.
Sorry, I forgot to add that bit.

It's great, you can install pretty much anything you want and can customize your system to your liking.

Fav Distros: Mint, BT R4 (When Current), and Kali. wasn't a big Ubuntu fan.
Currently: On Windows 10. Using Mint and Kali on VMs.

I tried that and the "advanced" battery savings sounded great for my laptop, turned out even worse. it's not stable, it's in "beta" and most of my stuff doesn't work out of the box. bit of a hit and run that one, imo.

I did say I change a lot, I'm now on debian jessie but upgraded to stretch, just so I could install LXQT.
Not that I'm using it, I love i3-wm.

My personal favorite is Tails, its very private, can be kept on a small flash drive, and comes with tor and other privacy based programs. It's saved me more than a few times from some stuff. I can't really recommend it as a daily driver though, as it has its quirks such as I personally get stuttering in certain menus. You can read about it here https://tails.boum.org/

That's a desktop environment, the OP's question is your favorite distro, not DE. :/

I just started using Linux. My favorite distro right now is porteus. it's boots really fast, portable, and looks great. Downsides: setting up internet and getting and opening up packages. I'm going to checkout mint sometime, but I think I'm gonna stick with porteus.
