My house just caught on fire whilst I was trying to make a fireplace, now it's flooded with water.
What's the fastest way to get rid of all the water?

For a second I didn't see that this was in minecraft and I was like, wtf?
But anyways I think you can just have it flow out ? if you make a path for it ?
Not quite sure.

Dry it with some towels. If the water has leaked into your carpet ect put towels on the affected area and then weigh it down with bricks/heavy books. - hope this helps Good Luck.

Stationary or flowing? If flowing, find the water source and put a block in the water. if stationary, put wood planks everywhere where there's water, then "axe" them all down.

Find the source and put a block on it. Continue this with all source blocks till it stops.
Or get Single Player commands and use //replacenear 9 0

I can also do it. But it will be easier to fill the house with dirt, and get rid of it once the you have all the water.

If it's become a "infinite spring" look for the source of water and cover it with a block (e.g. wooden plank).

Other than that, you can install commands (aka Single Player Commands) and remove the water automatically. More on the matter can be found here.
