Fallout: New Vegas :( :(

Alright, so today at 1:30 AM I bought a copy of Fallout: New Vegas from Walmart. I finished up a couple more hours of work, then left early to come home and play it before I go to bed. (I work nights.) I put the disk into my brand new xbox slim, go through the beginning of the game, set my stats, and open the door to walk into the wasteland. What happens? My screen shows a light gray color and my xbox freezes. I restarted my xbox and it happened again.

Then I installed the game onto my 360 and saw if that would fix the problem. I played for about 5-10 minutes, and it froze again. Does anyone have an idea to fix this problem? I've also cleaned the disk.

I'd rather not take the game back to walmart because they already took 30 minutes of my time trying to set up the 5$ gift certificate that came with the game. -.-

I'd try a different xbox before I try returning the game.


Just because it's a SLIM doesn't mean it's better. If anything, it seems they are more prone to have errors, just less prone to RROD.
