    What's Tethering?
Tethering will give you the ability to give your Computer/Laptop internet from your iPhones data plan(via iPhone cable or bluetooth)!

    How To
    1. On iPhone navigate to help.BenM.at - Mobileconfigs fr dein iPhone | BenM.at
    2. Select your Country
    3. Select your Carrier
    4. Install the profile
    5. On your iPhone go to: Settings -> General -> Network -> Internet Tethering
    6. Enable Internet Tethering, we recommend using USB Tethering in order to save your battery life.
    7. Connect your iPhone and hopefully all configuration will be automatically done for you!

    End Notes
    • Most mobile data plans have a limit of 5GB until your account is flagged. By not downloading large files and avoiding p2p applications(torrent, limewire, etc.) you should remain under the radar.
    • I have done this over wifi(no reception) and it did not work. To ensure this works please go to the website over your Edge/3G connection.

Isn't this already enabled on the iPhone without having to download anything?

I just bought an iPhone a few weeks ago and in settings it has internet tethering as an option. It's not jailbroken, I've been too much of a wimp to even attempt it.[IMG]

I realize now that the picture looks just like the update from the tutorial, but I assure you, I downloaded nothing.

At&t hasn't released the update yet to allow internet tethering or MMS my friend who works at the store says the earliest release for both features is supposed to be the end of September, but i'm not holding my breathe

yea like i said i'm not holding my breathe lol

just be careful how much you use, cus the 5gb flag on the account is a actual protocol, and i believe there are some fines involved when the figure it out
