I am fairly new to Xbox One Consoles, but have been a board level technician for many years. Picked up a few consoles to experiment on, and one of them booted to an E100 error. The error I received was: E100 00000703 80910006. At first I thought it was the HDD, but after poking around the hdd I found a folder on the H: Drive (System Support) called "oddfwupd". in this folder was a bunch of log.txt files and a sequence file. When inspecting the logs I found the following:

Code:
ODDFW update sequence: 8.
FOUND DeviceInstance AHCI\Port\0
Got PDO: \Device\00000017
Drive type detected: Elk.
Drive is Unlocked!
Nvkey is Not programmed!
Found firmware FW_0001.bin.
Firmware version match, no FW update is needed
Update is not neccessary.
Drive is Unlocked!
Nvkey is Not programmed!
ODD token found in factory settings, consider ODD is paired.
Invalid lock status detected. Lock = 0, Nvkey = 0, Pair = 1
ODDFW update failed, hr = 80910006, retry again in two seconds.
Found firmware FW_0001.bin.

ODDFW update failed, hr = 80910006, retry again in two seconds.
ODDFW update finished, hr = 80910006

I noticed the the "80910006" matched the last chunk of the error code. When inspecting the logs from a workign system, I found:

Code:
ODDFW update sequence: 9.
FOUND DeviceInstance AHCI\Port\0
Got PDO: \Device\00000016
Drive type detected: Elk.
Drive is Locked!
Nvkey is Programmed!
Found firmware FW_0001.bin.
Firmware version match, no FW update is needed
Update is not neccessary.
Drive is Locked!
Nvkey is Programmed!
ODD token found in factory settings, consider ODD is paired.
PV+ console already locked, skip lock down.
Got drive auth status : 2
ODDFW update finished, hr = 00000000

So it looks like there is an issue with the ODD's firmware, or something failed during the update and that the drive is not being locked. Not sure if this is fixable, any insight would be appreciated.

Connecting the incorrect DVD drive produces error 80910008:

Guessing the authentication fails because the drive is paired to another system.

So what I'm guessing happened, is that during an update something failed on this system during the ODDFW update, causing the nvkey to be left blank and the drive to remain unlocked. The only way to fix this I'm thinking is to extract the nvkey from the NAND, rewrite it to the drive and then lock the drive.

But I don't think such methods have been developed by the community yet :frown:
But if and when they do, this might fix a lot of bricked consoles.

Hello SadPony, I'm from Venezuela and I have an Xbox One with the same error that you describe, I do not know anything about technical support, but I did all the tutorials I got online to try to solve the error and nothing worked. I wanted to know if you could find a solution, as I told you, I'm from Venezuela and I do not have Microsoft's technical support here. Sorry for my bad english, I use google translator.

I've heard of a few people who were lucky enough that this had worked for them:
http://support.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-one/system/offline-system-update-diagnostic-tool

Check it out and let me know if that helps anything.
