DVD burning question

I burn movies to DVD-R DVD's. But, the movie doesn't work on all DVD players. My dad used to get rips from his friend and the DVD worked on all of my DVD players/computers. Perhaps he was using DVD+R. Would using DVD+R make a difference? Are there any other formatted DVD's I can use that would work on most players?

DVD-R's play better than DVD+R's do in DVD players. Are you trying to play them in an older DVD Player or something? Use ConvertXtoDVD

No, the DVD players are new. Perhaps I'll try a different type of software such as the one you posted.

Alright, I tried using the new program you told me to try and so far it works on the DVD players that didn't work in the beginning. I guess the program I was using in the first place (DVD Flick) was the problem. Thanks for your help! I wish I can hit the "Thanks" button more than once, lol.

Haha thanks man, and ConvertXToDVD is one of the better programs I've used for DVD burning, so I think I'll stick to this one.

I agree. The interface couldn't be simpler
