Solved Downloaded vids on hdd need help converting

Ok, so i downloaded one of the halo 3 vids on xbx liv , and i need to convert it..

its filename is "CAF92AEEA2EA79710A054F0E4335D53CF4CCBE544D" and yes.. no filetype. vlc media player wont play it and i need to convert it to watch on my pc

anybody help?

On the Xbox_360 Wiki, under the Video Store section it says:
Downloaded files use 5.1 surround audio and are encoded using VC-1 for video at 720p, with a bitrate of 6.8 Mbit/s.

Well to start off, your going in the wrong direction. You don't convert them. Its as simple as downloading WxPirs (google it) and opening the con file within the program. Once you do that just hit extract and it will extract the .wmv file to wherever you choose. Hope this helps.

Oh, and one more thing, this does NOT work with TV shows, movies, or music videos. Only game videos as far as I know.

All you do is download WxPirs and open the CON, PIRS, or LIVE file in it and extract the video file. You don't convert anything.
