What are the differences between RGHs (1, 1.2, 2, s-rgh)? Which one is best? What glitches can you perform on phats? What glitches can you perform on slims?
What chips can you use on phats? What chips can you use on slims?

Thanks in advance.

On Phats you can do the RGH 1, 1.2, 2, and Muffin method.
You can use CoolRunners, Ace, Matrix, and a couple more.

RGH 1 is the best, but it's dashboard dependent.

Slim you can do S-RGH, 2, and probably a couple more methods.
You can use the CoolRunners, Ace, Matrix, etc...

I usually use Ace for Slims, and Rev Cs for Phats.
I know you can get the Matrix and use it for both.

There's so much more to your question, but that's the quick answer.

As the amazing Noobert said, it all depends on your motherboard/dash kernal.

The most common versions you see today are RGH 1.2 and RGH 2 (Includes S-RGH and RGH 2m).

Personally I use the X360 Ace 3 on slims doing RGH2 or RGH2m (A crossbreed between RGH and Jtag to help with messed up fuses) and Matrix v1 on Phats doing RGH 1.2.

Although most chips can be used on any motherboard (Rev C, CR4, Ace chip serries, Matrix) they all just have their own install methods.

Noobert Noobert Risking Perfect Risking Perfect , Thanks for your quick response. I have just two more questions..
(1) What is the muffin technique?
(2) I have 15432's timings, but I can't really understand what is for which chip (5v or 3v3), for which motherboard, for which technique. Any help with that (will be grateful if you can show some screenshots) will be much appreciated!

The muffin install is a technique of using a 3v3 chip on slim consoles, it simply uses a few different points and different timing files.

So based on your motherboard and chip will determine your timing files.

I will use a Jasper 512mb motherboard with the Matrix v1 as an example (It is the most recent one I made):
So this install method is a RGH 1.2.
To determine what timing files you look at the folders you have, look for your method. I am looking for the RGH 1.2 folder:

It will give you lots of options, to look through but usually, there is a "Try These First" folder (Blue is a dynamic "learning" file for aces, kind of cool):

Then you are always looking for the "xsvf" folder:

The next folder is whichever chip you are using (Matrix):

Then it will have a list of the timing files you can use, there is always a base you want to start with which is usually a middle ground, in my consoles case the 12_21 was the one that gave me instant boots (Green):

Here is an explanation on finding the right timing files for your console made by JoinTheResistance.
