Video Destiny original loot cave?

I was doing one of my quests which required me to kill taken champions, I am a year 2 player so i had never been to the original loot cave and had never heard of it before. When wandering around I found a cave which had what seemed like infinite spawning adds. I told my friend the next day at school and told him where it was and he said it was the original loot cave which had been patched. I tried it again just now and it worked.



I don't know exactly how this worked but maybe someone could try it?

I am thinking this is during the event when enemies are moving against each other which happens in that zone. I don't think they would spawn with you that close to the cave otherwise. Their fix ages ago just slowed down the spawn rate of the cave, it used to spawn seconds after you killed everything that came out of it.

Does it always work when you are there, or just when the Fallen and Hive are fighting each other?
