Dead Island 2 is an upcoming action role-playing survival horror video game developed by German developer Yager Development and published by Deep Silver, it is a sequel to the Dead Island: Riptide game of the franchise. Dead Island 2 has been given a new release date which is this spring. However, there are only 10 weeks left of the season and it's looking more and more unlikely to be released this spring.
Dead Island 2 features a whole bunch of new weapons and characters. The new characters have a new style of play as well as an improve skill system that allows players to customise their characters and weapons. In addition to all of this, multiplayer is a big feature like the previous title, and is said to allow up to 8 players to play cooperatively "in a truly social, new-gen multiplayer experience."
The game has just over two and a half months to have entered a public beta test before it can be fully released. Furthermore, nothing has been mentioned on their Twitter page or on their website lately. Well EuroGamer, has supposedly been told that the game is set to be pushed back as far as September, however this has not been confirmed yet. Many sources do say that Dead Island 2 is to be released for definite this year.
Dead Island 2 is to be set in California and not on an island, unlike its first game, Dead Island. The publisher of Dead Island 2, Deep Silver, says that California has become "a bloody paradise for those who refuse to leave their homes, and an action-packed playground for renegades who seek adventure, glory and a fresh start." Real life locations such as Golden Gate and Venice Beach are included. The game is to be released on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
