Create a Virtual Private Network on my own PC?

As the title says, is and how can I do it?


(I can by pass school proxies etc with VPN, and the one I've been using I paid $5 a month, but I really rather not now..)

Use Hamachi, free from Logmein. Google it

It's really easy to use. On your PC, install and use the 'Create a network option'. Create a network name, give it a password, and also name your PCs connection (i.e. CrackmattsVPN, MattsPC) (network name is case sensitive)

Then, on the other PC, install using the 'join a network' option. Enter you created VPN name and password, and you're connected. Your PCs should show up in Network Places like they are on your local network. You can also right click a PC in your network view in Hamachi and select 'Browse' which will show you the shares setup on that PC

It's really easy to use and connections are great.
