Alright, so I have a Core i7 now, and a HUGE heatsink, so I have it OC'ed to 3.5 GHz (Core i7 920 @ 2.66GHz).
Question is I'm not sure what this should run out. My awesome motherboard amazinly has a CPU Temperature LED on it which displays the temp (currently about 3% max load and it's setting at 28C)
What I don't know is, How hot is the maximum it should get, and How high the cores can get without having damage. My processor cores are usually around 38-40C, and load up to around 60C, I have no idea if that is good or bad (I just found a program/my motherboard to show the actual CPU temp, but I imagine it's around 35C max on load).
P.S. I'm using my motherboard now/CPUID to find out my overall CPU Temp, and Real Temp to watch the cores.
