i cannot get the new LED to light up. On the left of the circled space there is a bit of solder and im not sure if that should be there or not. or if it should be white like the other side

PLZ HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alright, im here to answer your question then. What it sounds like is you have the LED backwards. You need to match the + end of the LED to the + end of the pad. Each controller type is different.

yes pos and neg are backwards turn it arround
they are marked with a very thin green line on the bottom

i have tried turning the positioning the LED differently but still no luck. i know i havent fried the board cause the other LED's are still working. do i have to put more solder where the LED was ?

try a new led. if that doesn't work and you're sure that you've lined it up correctly, you're just not soldering it correctly.
