Hey Se7ensins, I'm a senior now in high school and it's the time where I need to figure what I am wanting to do the rest of my life. I know some about computers and I have taken college courses for the programming language Java. I have heard that Computer Networking is a great career and pays pretty well if you become successful and well known among businesses. The question I have is does anyone have a career in Networking or know where I could do some research on how to pursue this as a College Major?

~Thanks Everyone

From what I know, usually you take some computer science classes and major in business. Getting your MBA is a good way to help you secure a management position one day. What really gets you entry level jobs though are your certifications. Here is a link with a list to get an idea of what businesses look for. http://www.aditsoftware.com/articles/certification-exams.php

Little tip for ya. Learn the LAMP stack in college. LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) and try others like c#.

That will get you a job. I was looking at some programming jobs for a network server. Pays 75k start. Max was 115k a year. If I knew the LAMP stack and c#. Sadly I only know c# and mysql.
